Hatfield Ice offers Group Skating Lessons ALL YEAR LONG!
Group Skating Lessons Sessions 3 & 4

The Skating School at Hatfield Ice is a member of “Skate with U.S.”, the national basic skills program designed by Master group directors and coaches for the United States Figure Skating Association, in affiliation with USA Hockey. This program is a safe, efficient, cost effective and fun way to learn the fundamentals of ice skating.

The Skating School at Hatfield Ice offers basic skills classes all year long. Our highly trained and experienced professional coaches provide a safe, fun, productive and educational atmosphere for all participants.

Snowplow Sam 1 - 3:
Beginning level for children ages 3-6

Basic 1 - 8:
Beginning through intermediate levels for ages 6 and up

Free Skate 1 - 6:
Figure Skating tract after passing Basic 8

Hockey 1 - 5:
Hockey tract for skater's who have passed Basic 1 & 2.  Helmet & stick required.

Learn to Synchro 1 - 4:
Beginning synchronized skating for skaters enrolled in basic 3 or higher.

Adult 1 - 4:
Beginning through intermediate levels for adults ages 18+

Tuesday Morning:
10:30 - 11:00 am Snowplow Sam 1, 2 & 3, Basic 1 thru 8 and Adult Classes

Thursday Morning:
10:30 - 11:00 am Snowplow Sam 1, 2 & 3, Basic 1 thru 8 and Adult Classes

Thursday Evening:
5:00 - 5:30 pm  Snowplow Sam 1, 2 & 3, Basic 1 & 2, Hockey 1 & 2, Learn to Synchro, Adult Classes
5:30 - 6:00 pm Basic 3  thru 8, Freeskate 1 thru 6, Hockey 3 thru 5

Saturday Morning:
11:30 – 12:00 pm  Snowplow Sam 1, 2 & 3, Basic 1, 2 & 3, Hockey 1 & 2, Adult Classes
12:00 – 12:30 pm Basic 4  thru 8, Freeskate 1 thru 6, Hockey 3 thru 5

Session 3 Dates:
Tuesday’s:  January 3rd – February 14th  
Thursday’s:  January 5th – February 16th
Saturday’s: January 7th – February 25th
**NO CLASS February 18th

Session 4 Dates:
Tuesday’s:  February 28th – April 10th
Thursday’s:  March 1st – April 12th
Saturday’s: March 3rd – April 21st
**NO CLASS 3/17**

Registration Fee: $125
Early Registration Fee: $115

The $115 early registration fee applies to any skater signed up for Session 4 on or before  Sunday, February 26th.

Skate rental IS included in the group lesson program.

What to Bring...What to Wear...
We strongly recommend a bike or hockey helmet to all, gloves and warm clothing.

FAQ:
Q: My child can skate but has never taken lessons.  What do I sign him/her up for?
A: All skaters new to lessons must start in Snowplow Sam 1 (ages 3-6) or Basic 1 (ages 6 and up).  All groups are formed based on skater’s age and ability level. 

Q: I feel my child needs to be moved to another level.  How do I know?
A: If there is a child in any of our classes that needs to be moved, the instructor will let the skating director know and we will move the child to the appropriate class.  All students are moved at the discretion of the instructor and skating director.

Q: I would like to have more information on private lessons. 
A: Private lessons are scheduled through individual instructors and are taught on our freestyle ice sessions.  Instructor fees range from coach to coach based on age, teaching experience and skating experience.  Lesson fees range from $25 - $40 per half hour.  Hatfield Ice charges an ice fee of $8/30 min, $12/45 min or $16/1 hour.  Discount cards are available for 45 minute sessions only.  Please call the skating director for more information.
